Information We Collect

MoonCalc does not collect personal information. All moon phase calculations run entirely in your browser — your selected dates and location preferences are processed locally on your device and are never transmitted to our servers. For location-based features such as moonrise times, we use your browser's built-in geolocation API only when you explicitly grant permission; we never store or log your location data.

Analytics

MoonCalc uses Google Analytics 4 to collect anonymous usage data such as page views, session duration, and which tools are used most frequently. GA4 is configured with IP anonymization so your IP address is never stored in identifiable form. This data helps us improve MoonCalc and prioritize new features. You can opt out via the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Cookies

MoonCalc does not set first-party cookies. Google Analytics sets cookies (such as _ga) to distinguish users and sessions. Google AdSense may set cookies to deliver and measure advertisements. You can block or manage these cookies through your browser settings without affecting the functionality of our lunar calculators.

Advertising

We use Google AdSense to display ads that help keep MoonCalc free. Google may use cookies to show relevant ads based on your visits to this and other sites. You can manage ad personalization at Google Ad Settings.

Third-Party Services

Our only third-party service integrations are Google Analytics and Google AdSense, both governed by Google's Privacy Policy. We do not sell or share user data with any other parties.

Children's Privacy (COPPA)

MoonCalc is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Our tools require no registration or personal data submission. If a parent or guardian believes their child has submitted personal information through our contact form, please contact us to have it removed.

Data Retention

Because MoonCalc collects no personal data, there is nothing to retain. Anonymized analytics data is retained per Google Analytics' standard schedule. Contact form submissions are kept only as long as needed to respond to your inquiry.
